I'm wondering if there header system for later bikes will bolt up to my mufflers stock or otherwise? I did send them an inquiry.

Dan is the man. He is pretty quick to respond via email.

I've heard one of those Force pipes on an XB9 a few months ago and its sounded mean. It was fricking loud too. It had a "tuned" sound to it, and not that obnoxious mess you get when you run without. But it was very loud. I dont know if I could live with it as an "everyday pipe".

Dan was very quick to respond to my message. It won't work with any of my mufflers and won't pass sound at the tracks I go to. I looks like it would be in the way most of the time anyhow.

Just headers. Mines starting to crack around the O2 sensor bung. Probably from over tightening. I'll get the old one off and get it repaired before it falls apart.

The alloy on the stock headers should be back purged with Argon and TIG'd, but for a small crack near that bung I have been successful in simply MIG spot welding and haven't had an issue since. I have a set of headers I added a whole front bung on by just MIG welding that have lasted quite awhile too.

It may not be the 'right' way, but just letting you know it worked for me:angel:

I am interested in your old header happy to pay for the ride. I'm working on a Blast project and thought the front half of an XB header would look better than the Vance and Hines exhaust for this build

I have no plans to sell. I like having a few spares and this seems to one of the items that's a must have in my book.

Thanks Cooter. It will be tig welded. Also thinking of drilling a small hole at the end of the crack before repair.

Ok just throwing it out there if anyone has a cracked or dented head pipe that they were throwing away....
Outthere if you are near Vancouver WA stop by my shop and I'll be happy to weld it for you. The pipe is thin enough that drilling a hole is not necessary and would make welding it more difficult it will be easy to get a full penetration weld.

Hey CVC I have a decent, slightly dented header I could send ya. Might have 2 O2 sensor bungs in it though. I'll go look tomorrow, PM if you're interested:up:
