Nice bike, is it a yamaha?

So I went to the gas station to fill up and had a guy yell, "nice bike, is it a yamaha?" I have had lots of people stop and look at my bike and not one ever asked is it a yamaha. I didn't know what to say, so I just said its a Buell. Then I had to repeat myself 3 times until he understood what I was saying and no it wasn't a senior citizen.

Different strokes for different folks i guess[confused] has he ever ridden a buell? As far as looks the r1 up close is kinda cheesy in my opinion but if you wanna go faster than hell its a pretty awsome bike. Still no buell but im bias i guess

My buddy is 300% type A personality and wont be convinced of anything he already has his mind made up on. R1s are sickeningly fast though.

I dont ever try to convince my friends to get a Buell, I like to have different siht than them and everyone else. I call their bikes Yamikawizukis, they are so common.

Something similar happened to me last weekend. I had just parked my yellow Firebolt, and was walking away when someone said to me, "Nice bike, I've got one just like it"
I said' "Yeah? is it a nine or a twelve?"
He looked a little puzzled, then replied, "It's an R6, the exact same color"

I was blown away!!
Not only did he know it was a Buell, he knew a little history on them and doesn't own one.
How often does that happen?!?!

went to a new bike shop in my town today to see about getting a K&N ordered. Guy standing outside asks what I was looking for, told him and his response was "We only deal with harley stuff here".... I gave him a little history lesson

I had 3 squids in front of the house yesterday at my neighbors he rides a gsxr 750 they were all reving the I4's like crazy I quitely rolled the bike out washed it they were all gawking and when I fired it up they just stared I said nothing

I got a weird comment the other day. This old guy says.. "Looks like if you removed just one bolt that thing wouldn't run." I didnt know if I should be offended or not at looked at him kind of puzzled. Then he says.. "Thats about as naked as it could get. What did that start out as?" Then I took it as a compliment.
