I recently attended Octo's tuning webinar. To sum it up he teaches what a majority of tuners will need to know about tunerpro. The session lasting approximately 2 hours. There were some slight mishaps with the video feed but all was remedied by the time the webinar was over. He starts out with showing where to get the files needed to make the program run. He also goes through how to tune with both a narrowband and wideband setup. I probably have about 50 hours in tuning/reading in tunerpro alone. I can honestly say that I still learned a lot of valuable information on how to use the program efficiently. So for anyone that wants to do a custom tune for their bike...this class is a must. I personally feel that the money was well spent as all my questions were answered. He also helps out with tuning in the future in case you run into any problems.

It would be ideal. He goes through step by step. If this service would have been offered when I first started tuning...I would have gladly paid what he is asking now. I mean in two hours he was able to teach us how to use the program. The same thing took me over a week of reading and searching...not to mention the headaches involved with trying to learn a new program on my own. Its pretty much a TunerPro for Dummies haha. ;)

Thanks dallasb-
This seems like a pretty important aspect of Buell performance modifications. I want to learn myself…

Could I just purchase a used ECM for my year/model to do the tuning on or are they write protected? Want to set aside my stock one and do all the tuning on an extra.

Yea can purchase a used ecm if you wanted. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. As long as you are careful and don't burn the wrong eeprom to your bike then you should be fine.

Thanks Dallas! [up]

Bossanova, the beauty of the webinar is that your feedback is always welcome. That means if you're not getting something that I'm talking about, you can ask questions until you do. I'm not going to leave you hanging after having invested money in the class. You WILL walk away with the ability to tune your bike.

As Dallas said, for anyone that pays for the webinar and attends the complete class, I offer future technical support. I really want everyone who invests in the class to feel that their money was well-spent and that they're capable of tuning any FI Buell.

I am going to start a webinar fund this week, for the next one that gets scheduled, I'm glad it is set up for NOOBS

yeah I'll try to get in on the next one too. Worried about my internet connection... lol

uly luigi: It's set up for whoever attends. That's the beauty of a webinar. It's totally interactive.

Bossanova: If you're worried about your internet connection, for a little extra pocket change we can set up a private session wherein we will go totally at your speed.

Dallas linked to the original tuning thread. It has the layout of the class (more or less), but is lacking a couple important points. Here's the updated one with the current pricing structure: Tuning Sessions.

I'd be in for the 8+ group. My bike runs fine, could use a little extra get up and go...So that price range, I'm in.

I'm with flaya564. Schedule-wise, I need to get the holidays behind me.

Not to be snarky, guys, but we'll never have an 8 person class if you don't commit. It looks like we'll easily have 4 people attending, so that's already down to $75 per person. I know everyone would love to spend $50 per person (and I'd like to have that many people attend), but we need people to commit to get there.

I will be in the next one if its after the new year. Wanted to do the last one but work got in the way. Let me know when the next one is octo

Dammit! I have to work on the 15th!!! Octo if you could keep me informed of when the next one will be after that, I will commit (if I am not working that day) even if it is $75. I just really want to get rid of my constant rev stumble!!! Very annoying also I wouldn't mind some more power and the ability to tune it after I get the exhaust done down the road.

This is the ultimate answer to getting the most out of your bike no matter what exhaust or intake setup you have.

Thanks for all the interest guys. I'd ask that you post over here with your intentions to attend since this is only a review. It'll be easier for people to keep tabs on how many might be showing up to the next session.

Jasonxb9, shoot me an e-mail and we might be able to work something out.
