OEM Buell Seat

Recently, I have discovered that the last line of buell XB9S were made with an upgraded, more comfortable seat. How would I be able to tell them apart from the earlier models? Part number? I have an '05 XB9SX, and have been looking for an upgrade in the "rear" region.

what is the item # of your seat now? there will be a white dot under the seat indicating the part number.

I'll have to check after work, but it's the Skyline seat that came with the bike in 2005.

I think you have the M0090 1AC

Try looking for a gunfighter seat, they add more cushion. or a simple 30 dollar strap on gel pack.

or, if you know someone who can work with leather and stiching i have your seat with a rip in it.. can get it customized.

Just some thoughts. A tall seat will also add more cushion but will put you up alot higher.

From the pics. in your profile Jonny, you have a low seat. probably the most uncomfortable seat you can have imho. there are 2 different types of skyline seats, the regular "s" seat and the tall seat that came stock on the sx. tall on left, regular on right. either one of these will be an improvement over the low seat if you are looking for comfort.

that does look like a low seat on your bike. Any seat would be more comfortable. I have that stock seat on the right in the photo above for sale if your interested.

I do have the M0076.1AD low seat. Thanks for the insight! I'll have to wait til at least the weekend to figure out my next step. gtp, I'll keep your seat in mind and let you know!
