Hi. Who's up for some of the greatest roads southern ohio has to offer? I know this a bit late notice for some of you but I'm trying to get a decent sized group together for a ride on saturday August 23rd. Here is a rough route I have ran a few times that I plotted out real quick. ROUTE Ride is roughly 200 miles of some good twisties and a few scenic routes.

The plotted route is tentative and open to suggestions. Through the link the route is completely editable. In case there is anything I have missed out on or someone wanted to add, feel free to modify the map in the link and pm me the link to the new map with any changes. There will be plenty of places to fuel up and to eat / consume beer along the way. I'll brainstorm a bit and see if I cant think of anywhere cool to stop along the way. Hillbilly Hot Dogs is in Huntington but that's about all I can think of at the moment.

I can ride out and meet anyone on their way in. As far as I know now, there will be a few guys possibly coming in from the Cincinnatti/Dayton area and also a few From Columbus. Hoping to get a decent sized group together and to meet some new faces [up]

Stands up at 11?? Sound good? Gives the travellers a bit of extra time to sleep in?

edit: I am also posting this on a few other sites. I will post links to those threads shortly.

Would love to guys, but I am a little further north. I am about 3 hours north of the start point (sidney).

I'd be coming from north east of Columbus, which makes this a little far south for me... However, I'd really like to meet some other Buellers so maybe I can jump in on the route somewhere along the way?

Well looks like I'm about the only one in the southern portion of the state :(

For you northerners. If you are available this coming Sunday, 8/17, me and a friend from OR will be meeting up in zanesville and running a bit south from there. You are welcome to join.

Darnit, missed your post about the 17th... Might have been able to meet up in Zanesville. That's the thing that erks me about this site, no e-mail notification on subscribed threads. [mad]

Anyway, my Saturday is filling up fast, but I could try and catch you all early somewhere. Probably won't be able to ride with you at all, but could probably be at a meet up point for the start.

hey Goose- I'm going to have to bail on the 23rd. Work just told me today that I am going to have to work :( we'll have to reschedule a ride together in Sept. Sorry.

Hey no problem man. We will get something together. How's the 27th looking for you?

Yea. It would be nice to have the option to subscribe to threads. Too bad though it was a good time :( I ended up running 555 a few times ventured around ohio, wv, pa, and ky, for about 12 hours though. It was a good day.

But hey man if you end up having some time this Saturday I would be completely down for coming back up towards zanesville and running around.

If you don't mind me asking, where abouts are you located?

Any good roads out that way? I'd be willing to head out towards you and meet up somewhere sometime. If I'm not mistaken that's out towards mrlogix's neck of the woods.

And for anyone interested there is an advanced riders course in Marietta 9/6 Info

Game day bump.

For any interested parties I haven't already talked to, meeting at super quick in Portsmouth just off 23 at 12:30ish. Hitting some local roads and heading east towards Ironton/Ashland then north towards gallapolis. If interested text/call me at 1740 tree 5 76892 and we will meet up

:)[up]

Yes it did. Me and a guy from OR ran the loop. Ended up at about 500 miles of some very twisty roads. It was a good time. If anyone is interested in getting something together it looks like Saturday September 6th would be free for me. I was planning on attending the advanced riders course in Marietta I had posted about earlier in the thread that day, but I would gladly pass on that for a good ride in the country :)[up]
