Oil cooler lines

I'm replacing my oil cooler lines and I'm not sure if I should use Teflon tape on the threads if not. There has always seemed to be a small leak at the cooler, I've replaced it lately and with this oil change I decided to replace the lines finally. Thanks.

The sealing surface is the tapered nipple on the oil cooler fitting and the flange of the line. No need to use Teflon tape to the best of my knowledge.

I replaced the lines and I seem to have some seepage both where the oil cooler lines connect to the pump and the case. It looks like it is coming out around the threads, but it may be leaking on the fitting in the center of the nut also. I looked at the pdf for replacing the oil cooler lines, and it called out to use Loctite 565. I didn't use any thread sealant. Should I have? I looked online for a local auto store with Loctite 565 and didn't find any. I found Permatex at Autozone. Does anyone know if this is comparable?

Permatex High Temperature Thread Sealant. Permatex makes several different kinds of thread sealants. This is the Permatex product I'd use in substitution for Loctite 565.
