Oil plug timesert

I am considering purchasing a timesert to repair a stripped oil plug for my 2006 XB12R. Can I peform the repair with the swingarm still on the bike and the exhaust removed or should the swingarm be taken off completely.

drill it, get some new thread in and get another plug.

don't use the torque settings in the manual, because they are wrong.
get is hand tight en an additional 1/4 turn with a tool is more than enough.
