Refresh my memory from reading the manual from this afternoon, just want to be sure.

Oil - No stands, just level surface and on the kickstand.
Tranny - Drawing a blank but IIRC it said to put it on a stand (level which means about front and rear bike stands for me alone) and fill through the cover on the left side.

Thanks all!

yes sir.
check engine oil when bike has been sitting for at least an hour or more seems to give most accurate reading...and done on sidestand, level surface.
primary/trans checked with bike close to upright position as you can get it. you can fill the primary/trans either thru derby cover or smaller primary chain adjustment cover.

primary oil shud cover bottom of clutch plates bout 1/4 inch or so, to get oil bath. uprite

Got it all, thanks all! WOW seems like a new bike... the tranny oil did not look good, so easy to change, seems like it was a bit neglected.

Reused the gasket on the cover, it's been fine ever since. Hah, actually had a torx snap on those bolts on the cover, had to run and get a new T27 the next day. PO or service used what appears to be permanent loctite. I just put a tiny dab of blue on those.
