Right, this is prolly gunna sound dumb but, when checking my oil should the bike be on the side stand or have someone hold her upright?
Should I warm the bike up and let her sit for a few min's and then check, or just check it cold?
And...what is the best oil out there?
2010 XB12R
Cheers,
Ken.

Check on the side stand and it needs to be warmed up, manual says to check at every gas fill up.

Run, run very fast and far. The oil lynch mod will be here soon.

Check on side stand when warm.

Best oil i use my own piss, mixed with amsoil and cheetah blood. I also use 5W200 that sometimes acts like 30w900.

While wer at it, you should try water in your tires, ****** awesome!!! But between us, propane is the thing to use.

You should get a 400/20-17 rear tire as well. Max traction in the corners thats the eay to get'r done.

Wooooo! Dont post and drink!

ken: always on sidestand. if you see any oil on dipstick when bike is cold, level is fine. oil should be within ranges on dipstick when up to normal operating temps......"normal" being oil temp of 120 degree F or higher.
any top quality 20-50 or 15-50 or even rotella T 15-40 in engine works fine. i've found that amsoil 20-50 motorcycle specific oil in primary works fabulously. noticeable improvement in shift quality.
lastly, contact Lesley for all O-ring/torque values/drain plug info. you may require. :D

Lmao, I'm going cheetah blood hunting,

Cheers for the feedback guys, its been 25yrs since I last had a bike and It was nothing like the XB. Just wanting to do the right thing for her.

Cheers,
Ken.

Hey I'm stuck on Amsoil. Keeps the bike running and if I have fallen for a trick to make me buy more expensive oil then what can I say, "you got me" Scientific jargon it is.:p

AMSOIL dealer here, sort of partial to the AMSOIL. In fact, I became a dealer so that I could get it cheaper. I've been providing it on here at a discounted rate for a couple years now.
