I have a black and gold with aprilia tuono mirrors. They aren't flashy, but they don't stand out negatively or positively

I have bar end mirrors but if I was to choose between the two you posted I'd go with the first choice, the carbon look.

Me either but I understand some folks are not comfortable with small mirrors.

I actually like the stock mirrors on my Firebolt. The overall style of the bike is more rounded than angular - particularly the front fairing, so the stock ones seem to fit that style. They also actually offer pretty good visibility. My Ninja has diamond-shaped mirrors like choice #1 and I am always adjusting them because seem to show everything but what's actually going on behind me. That's just me though. Make your bike your own. Choice #2 would probably work better and would look really nice on a black and gold bike.
