Just wondering what methods/paint you guys found worked best.

Looking at doing them in as close to Hero Blue as I can, and possibly the pulley cover or belt guards at a later date.

you can use what ever paint you want on the factory parts. The deciding factor with paint is almost always prep work.

Heat them with a hair dryer, pry them out, sand them smooth, wash them with hot soapy water and dry them off really dry. Go to the autoparts store and get some adhesion promoter for plastics and find a color that matches. Spray the adhesion promoter on and let it dry, scuff it with a scotchbrite pad, and wash it and dry it again. Then spray color ( and clear coat if you choose)
