I have probably missed numerous threads about painting our plastics, but I have decided i eventually want to emulate the red/gold 12R look with my all black 25R and want to know how I can paint it. I will most likely just rough up all of the surfaces, then primer and paint. Seem right? Just let me know. Thanks ahead of time!

first wash all the parts then i would go ahead and wetsand with 320 ,then primer sealer then wet sand the primer sealer with 600 . then spray color then clear . you could even use bullydog plastic adhesion promoter before you useprimer.

Good deal. I will keep the bullydog deal in mind. This wont happen soon, but I just want to know for future use. Thanks alot, 347.

its bulldog... and its an ok adh. promoter, but there r bettter. Definetly use adh. pr. and scuff with @least 400/ red scotch brite and then prime and sand/ or seal depending on how well ur sealer covers. use flexable sealer/primer if possible. (plastic expands and contracts alot even if it is fairly rigid so flexible materials help with adhesion and prevent stone chips) then topcoat
