I pulled my tank cover off a while back and the rubber bushing that hold the front end of the tank in place were in pieces. i have searched high and low and cannot find the part anywhere! only thing i can find is 13 year old used bushings... does anyone know where i can find these damn things at? iv been riding around without them [sad]

part number or point me in the right direction? thanks!

while im here anyone have any info on the automatic choke? im getting hard warm starts i just replaced the intake boot as well. thanks.

awesome videos Lee! quick question. you said in one of your videos "when your bike was carbed" are you saying you are running a fuel injected blast lol?!

It's a lot more to do than you think. For one, you have to replace the entire electrical harness. The Blast stator/VR don't plug into the new harness so you have to modify that plug. The Blast headlight is opposite sex so the plugs don't connect (both female plugs...they don't scissor). The Blast dash won't work.

That's just a few of the electrical issues to sort out. You then need high pressure fuel, around 50psi. Can't use an in-tank pump unless you build an auxiliary tank. Inline pump requires a fuel pressure regulator and bypass back to the tank.

Lots involved.

would much rather invest the amount of money in a upgraded bike then polishing my lovely turd :D maybe my brothers will one day try this when i eventually pass it down. so far its been giving me alot of problems but i love how easily it can be fixed.

Dunno what kind of upgraded bike you're going to get for $1000. There's no bike around here that I want to save my money for, so I spend it on the bikes I have.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

With EFI, XB top-end and all the weight savings (weighed in at 320lbs, that's a 40lbs diet) ... it's no turd. ;)

i have a nice auto hobby shop here but they are rude and seriously dislike checking out tools. =/ but as far as knowledge goes i am pretty good with my hands if i can find the time. i'm about to go on deployment so work has been insane trying to get everything done... i love my blast. very upset on the lack of parts available for it. the rubber stops are impossible to find online even with the # and my Harley store wont order them for me.

seems as if my carb problem has lightened up on its own, rode a good hour today at varying speeds and only problem i had was with my gear box makin noises when i let off the clutch at low speeds. seems like one problem after another lol =/

I don't know the exact sizes of the hosees but what I did when my tank busihng disengrated is slip two different dimeter pieces of rubber hosing on the pegs. Just put a bit of lubricant on the peg, slide the smaller hose on, lube that up and then slide the bigger hose on. it takes a bit more work to get the tank back on than stock but it has worked perfectly for me.
