is anyone else getting fed lines about how buell parts are getting hard to get ahold of for buell?

Haven't needed any parts to experience that problem , but i did have a dealer here in Texas tell me that they don't make oil filters for Buells anymore ! HUH !!! the guy said since they stopped making the bike that you couldn't get parts anymore , I just turned and walked out .

No that's true, I've just been jamming paper towels in that hole for a few months now. I confirmed it with Erik on his facebook, he said it'll be fine haha

Paper towels ?? Those are cheaper than the tampons i've been plugging in there ! BOUNTY--THE QUICKER PICKER UPPER !! :p

the guys at EBR seem to get some questions on why they(customers) cant find parts because dealer tell them parts not available any more. here is what EBR tells them
Erik Buell Racing ; There absolutely are all parts available for 1125R's, and they will be available for years. Whoever is telling you this is mistaken. I suggest making direct contact with Buell Customer Service at Harley-Davidson: the numbers are (414) 343-8400 and also (414) 343-4056.
and there is parts available for the XB just like there is some parts left for tubers too. Just find a different dealer there a few BUELL friendly dealers out there. (post some & their website/contact info for us) & if all else fails you might find some parts here
Buell-Clothing--Parts-List---Foreign--Domestic or contact EBR on their facebook page or website/email for info.

Most dealers were/are Buell stupid anyway ! You ask for something or tell them an issue your having and they stare at you like you had a gun in their face. That has been the worst part of my 5 years with Buells , the dealers . IMHO !!!!!

I have been ordering parts from a HD delaership in Gaithersburg Maryland. They are great and the parts come in quickly without any hassle. I also buy oil filters from Buellparts.com.

I have to say I love the suggestion of using the green alternative of Tampons...I just dont want the bike to get PMT!

I also use a HD dealership in Mississauga, Ontario. I asked them before buying my XB if they thought that parts would be a problem and they said no and expect that Buell will surface again in the near future. They look after my bike well and in fact one of the mechanics came back from a test ride with a big smile on his face and said how much he missed them. The only problem with Canada is that parts take some time to be delivered, hence I use Gaithersburg.

These guys have been really good to me for the last few years. Parts guys are great and if they don't stock it, i'll have it within a few days at most. Even weird stuff like crank bearings and wrist pin clips. Always oil filters in stock.
Nick in Service even gave me his personal cell phone # and told me to call or text him if i have any questions or need anything. I've called him several times for help and he's been there. Couldn't be any better..:)

3 months and waiting on a primary case cover. The dealership calls after I bug the **** out of them and it keeps getting pushed back. This is ridiculous!

lancaster .hd dealer in california was real helpful they still had xb9s for sale 1125 for sale .i talked to the parts guy said they would be dealing in buell parts for a long time to come even told me about the recall on my headlight i just got to get over there so they can fix

The guys in Barrie are great,I go to them even though they are 2ookm,s away and there is a HD/ Buell dealer 30 minutes from my home. The owner even got on HD,s ass when I was waiting for a fuel pump last summer.

Check out Murfreesboro, TN (Bumpus Harley). They guy that owns it raced or races, I'm not sure which is correct, the 1125 bikes.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Barrie dealership. I will keep this in mind.

Rocky's HD, London, Ontario, always treats me well.

Got to wonder about some of these responses I read about. The parts guys at Rocky's look up the part number on the screen, they tell me some Buell part numbers have been rolled into HD numbers, they tell me a part number has been updated, and then they order the part. The parts people can tell from the screen where the part is and how long it will take to get here.

Prices vary between here and the States. I compare on chicagoharley.com and decide from there. Usually, Rocky's is worth it.
