Hello all,

My name is Matt and I live in Cedar Rapids, IA. I have been runnin around on this forum for a while now and talked to a good number of the members. Thought I would write a formal introduction, about 4 months past due.

Coming from a '00 Kawasaki 250 cc Enduro that I had all the way through high school and college I finally nutted up and bought a real bike. Ended up with a '03 xb9sl that I got from a buelletinboard member. I had it for maybe 3 days and determined that I loved the bike and wish I waited till I found a newer one in the area. To which I scavaged the forums and got in touch with oatmealcody from this forum. Ended up trading my '03 for his '10 (with cash on top obviously). So it all worked out in the end, and I believe both of us were really happy with the trade.

Here are my bikes over the last 4 months. I got my new bike right before winter so I haven't got to ride it a ton, but I have made plenty of modifications to it :) , with many more planned. The last pic is how the bike currently looks.

Welcome! That 03 yellow 9sl is exactly the bike I started with. Still have the same bike I just traded in all the yellow for the transparent red and black fenders like yours has. Big improvement!

Thanks for the welcomes. The enduro was a ton of fun when I lived in a small town in the middle of no where and could take it offroad from time to time. But I'm more of a city dweller now so it kind of lost its appeal.

I do love the transparent plastics on the xb's. Really shows off airbox and is unique to Buells. Im currently trying to swap to Hero blue transparent, but the red looks good non-the-less.

I love the red with my silver frame, but don't care for it on the black bikes, it's all too dark. The blue looks much better on the new bikes.

Its a corbin gunfighter. The picture really got a good angle on the seat, dumb luck. I'm not that good of a photographer... or am I?

Thanks anrkizm, That tail chop looks particularly nice :)

Ya the corbin is pretty sweet. I got it with the first bike (yellow one) and kept it in the trade. I also picked up a select seat the other day.. haven't decided which one is more comfy yet.

Well def have to get some rides in dallas. Specially now that we know there are a decent number of people in the eastern Iowa area.
