According to ASB's muffler shootout, a stock XB9 with stock map and muffler (not sure if they tested with stock airbox or not) made 65.27 peak torque and 79.61 peak hp (they said they had a premature redline cutoff so...). With the Buell Race Pipe and Race Map with a K&N/open-airbox it's best runs were 70.76 torque and 89.35 hp. The XB12 with this setup went from 84.19 torque and 101 hp to 90.09 torque and 103.27 hp on it's best power run. So the gains are bigger on the 9 at about 10hp and 5 ft/lbs, compared to 2ish hp and 5ish ft/lbs.
