My 9SX came with a Road 2 front that was brand new so, I was kind of forced to run it until I got my money out of it, well, I finally tore it up and went out and got a Power 3 front... GAWD that is a good tire. Im still using the older Pilot Powers on my 12R so I didn't know what I was missing.. that Power 3 is no joke! I had it leaned over about as far as I was going on those Road 2s and Im thinking " I gotta be running out of tire here any second.." stopped, looked at my tread, nope .. 1" of chicken strip... made me feel like a pussy. I love this tire.
question for you guys running Power 3s ,. is it safe to get down to the area with the big "arrows" on a XB or will it come out from underneath you? Anybody going down that far on these? I just want to know what my new limits are..

what I got on the back just says Pilot Power 2ct.. it was something that I picked up by accident... will these two tires work together normally?

The 2ct sides will wear out faster. I've had the powers, and the dual compound version of both. I've ran the chicken strips off both with no worries. The tires will be there for you, but poor road conditions will make things scary quick. I've been down on a knee and ran through some gravel they put on the road for traction when it snows/freezes. I'm bad for not letting tires warm up before dragging corners. The dual compound seemed more forgiving to me cold, but that could of been seat of the pants measurement since I don't track my bike. Either way for the price I feel like they see a bargain in terms of mileage and performance.
