For all those that have painted their triple tree, and the guys that have painted an 08+ engine, how did you remove your plaques and then reapply them after paint? Before I remove mine and possibly damage them, I would like to get some input!

The plaque on the triple tree is put on with double sided sticky tape.. comes right off.. at least mine did. I dont know if the timing cover is different on the 08 engines but on my 03 I just drilled the rivets on the plaque. Then I bought an aftermarket timing cover and put it on in its place.

Thats what I figured on the triple tree, so I will just use some fishing line to remove.

As for the 08+ engines, the timing cover is completely different, but i expect it would be double sided tape as well...

E-mail them and ask them. They have always been able to supply the Buell part I need. The web site does not list everything. Tell them what you want, you will hear back from them, they will tell you what to do from there. Usually what they do is generate a web site listing just for you, for the item(s) you told them you want, and this will then enable you to add it to the web site shopping cart and complete the payment, etc. A painless process that works well. No long wait for your part to be delivered, either.
