Hello.

I have 09 model with 10k miles. When I start it, the instrument panel goes dark until I release the clutch. Is that normal? I think it didn't used to do that.

Also during summer when I stop for a short while, then try to start it again, it takes few seconds for it to "get going". It's turning, turning, then finally starts. Now that temperature dropped, nothing crazy 60-70, I am having trouble starting it in the morning. It starts but it takes few seconds, it turns for a 2-3 seconds before finally starting.

When riding the instrument panel shows above 13V. I checked the battery with volt meter when bike was off and it was 12.8 volts. I don't think battery is running low. I also connected it to the charger and it was showing fully charged immediately.

Thanks.

that cluster going dark with the cltch is not normal.
When warm this bikes are hard to crank up.
need to look at the voltage when the clutch is pulled

Well when I am starting. If it's running and I pull it, cluster doesn't go dark. So clutch in, push the starter button to start the bike, cluster goes dark while it starts up.

Just went through something similar with a BMW. It was the load shed relay; to be honest I don't even know if our bikes have the relay.
