What do you do before you get on the bike, to make sure your head is in the right place and prepare yourself to drive responsibly?

Nothing but gear up and ride really. My head is on a swivel while I am riding though, looking for other idiots that dont see me.

Nothing clears my head like squeezing one out.

In all seriousness tho, I ride to clear my head. In the moments leading up to the time I hit that start button the only thing going through my head is "get me the fuck out of here".

so true. it just sucks that i cant right know. but otherwise its start bike, put on jacket, smoke one for the road, put in ear buds and put on a a good mix, put on helmet, put on gloves, take a deep breath, start to ride out of town, put visor down when about to open her up. call me an idiot for jaming out while riding. just trying to save some hearing. i dont crank up the tunes just loud enough to hear. it helps get me centered for the ride. then the ride takes it from there. no cares no worries just ride.

I eat, hydrate, stretch, & gear-up. Then I remind myself that the most important part of the ride is to arrive back home to see my family!

Before my son was born, & prior to naming him, our working-title for him was 'hotdog'. I keep this on my key chain to help remind me to ride safe...
