Hey Everyone,

I am going to have my primary case powdercoated with a textured flat black and had a few questions on the prep steps I should give the painter. Where the screws go in to attach the case to the engine there seems to be very small circular areas around the screw holes that don't have any paint on them at all. I know the screw holes themselves need to be taped off but should I also have them tape off the small area around the screw hole so the washer sits flat when installing back on the bike? I am not sure how critical that would be if at all. I believe the primary gasket would negate any potential of leaking through those holes anyway correct?

Correct. No need to mask the screw hole or the area around it. Barely any powder would get in the hole anyway.
Mask the gasket surface, drain plug threads and primary chain adjustment threads.
Remember both the drain plug and primary nut seal on the case so, make sure that area is smooth and coated evenly, or masked foo.
