Primary Cover Bolts

Hey guys, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
so I spent most of thanksgiving day replacing my stator.
Reassembly was going smooth until I tried to torque down the first primary bolt and it sheared off...at that point I just went inside and started drinking.
I'm sure someone knows the bolt size or part number for an 03 xb9.

P.S I tried to search the forum for this info, but got sucked into a couple interesting threads for about 30 minutes.

They're definitely 1/4"-20 SHCS Grade 8 bolts but depending on which you broke, they're a few different lengths.

Does anyone know where I could by new bolts?
I orders some used ones from ebay which in retrospect was a stupid idea, but is was on the cheap side anyway.
Would a HD store have them? I mean is the same bolts used in a sportster right?

I just want my bike bake on the road...

harley dealer should have them in stock.

You could also try Fastenall or any other industrial fastener supply store.

I bought some allen wrench bolts because the stock torx bolts would strip. Just take a one of the bolts to the hardware store they will match it up for you.

Size-wise your hardware dealer can help but they likely wont have the same grade and finish combination. We had to have our 5-0 Case Slider bolts specially made to match. If you look at the heads if those bolts, you'll see that there's an "HD" on them which means that they spec'd by HD. Your HD dealer is your best bet if you want OEM quality...or put our case sliders on and use our longer bolt. Good luck man!

Picked up the last 13 bolts that HD had.

Bottom bolt hole is stripped and needs to be retapped.
I'm going to get a tap and dye set tomorrow. any advice for that? I've never done it before.
