Hi, I'm having problems with the rear shock adjuster,I can't turn it by hand I don't know if something is wrong but it's completely stuck.
Can somebody guide me if this is normal or if there's any locking mechanism for the knob?
I only have the firebolt service manual but I think the suspension is one of the diferences on both bikes
Thanks in advance for your help.

used, you mean the big knob on the left side below the seat for the adjustment needs a tool for turning it?

argh...uly, sorry missed the model!

get some penetrating lubricant on there, take a ride on a nice & bumpy bit so the internal oil gets warm too.
have a try after that...

this is your basic tool kit you should of got with the bike if not u can order one . the top tool is the tool you need, it's the Shock Spanner Wrench . it's to change the shock spring preload by turning the preload adjuster at the top ( like the pic. either left or right)of the shock to get the ramp(grove ) under the 2 knobs (under the zip tie in my pic)one on each side of the shock.. if u have the service then u can figure out the rest of the shock adjustments .. if u just bought it or think its ride (shock wise) is off .. i would suggest to adjust the front and rear suspension to the reccommended suspension settings for the rider and weight in the service manual .. and then go from there .

mine is a 05 firebolt. but i think all newer buell shocks are about the same ,the except the length and spring rate (weight)...

He's got a Uly. Uly's adjust the rear preload suspension with a knob instead of a spanner wrench like the Lightnings or Firebolts.

Thanks with a little of WD40 I manage to loosen the knob. Now I will try and error the suspension adjustment
Thanks
