Ok guys this is a project that I'm hoping to get finished by the end of the year.... I have an '04 xb12r. I'm looking to remove one of the headlights leaving the opening there and running an air induction tube from behind it up the back of the fairing and have it shooting straight over the top of the tank! Reasoning for this is that I'm lookin at getting the Kuryakyn Hypercharger put on just because the thing looks bad ass. Problem is having a firebolt, that intake won't get much air unless I force some air to it, hence the whole mod to the front fairing!

My question now is has anyone replaced the entire headlight to put in one that can use dual filament bulbs?

Not a complete direct swap but should be pretty straight forward. No real fabrication if I remember right by reading someone else's experience with them.

According to the Hella site you need a couple extra parts for power and for operation of the shutter.

No idea how direct the install is...hopefully not too bad...

You can just get the regular halogen projectors from Hella for much cheaper. They are also available as a low/hi beam combo. For the shutter, just wire in the high beam power to it.

Well yea that's what I'll have to do... I'm only going to have the right head light anymore the other headlight will taken out and air intake hosing will be run from it up I've my air box cover. So that one light will have to have both hi/low settings
