Hi

New to the forums/Buell experience. I have just acquired an 08 XB12STT, there are a few bolts/nuts that are galvanised that look like they need protecting. Is there a product or simple wax solution that anyone knows of that could be applied to them to protect them? I thought about a basic grease but living on South Africa it's likely to melt off in the heat. Can anybody help me?

Pul a set out at a time and have them powder coated. Or buy a powder coating machine from Harbor Freight online and by an old oven and do it yourself?

Cool, that's not a bad option, although in South Africa the powder coating is flipping expensive.
FYI. I did manage to find a product called Tectyl - Multi Purpose 506 WD. Seems to leave a clear wax coating on the nuts.
Thanks.

I put aome wd-40 on a rag and wipe it on, this will weather proof them and keep them looking new.
