Hey guys

I am in process of shooting a new finish on the inside of my low beam's head light reflector and I had a interesting question. I am polishing the lenses for an hour and the glass still looks dirty as if a soap substance was allowed to dry on the surface of the glass..
SO the question is a simple one , is the expected surface of these lenses?

Just wondering,
thanks
Ned

use some parts cleaner, i just painted bulb housing with chrome spray, worked fine but when paint was drying with light left a film on lense. chrome spray paint 5$ dollars revamped buell housing 120$ fixing then inexpensive priceless:D

I did the same, Chrome paint in a can the stuff they use to touch up car bumpers, I applied about 5 coats just to get a really really shinny surface. I have been keeping an eye on it as I thought the heat produced by the light would affect it but its still looks new and I did it about 3 months ago, I used braso to clean the glass it is a very mild abbrasive then nail polish remover which takes any film left on it by the braso but I have also used normal window cleaner which works just as good
