Hey I bought a used brembo caliper and bracket on this forum. It came with a bag of parts, most of the hardware I replaced. I also got new pads. The only question I have is there is this little clip that I'm not sure how it gets installed or oriented, or if it's even required. I couldn't find any way to make it fit so left it out, but can anyone else that has this caliper confirm it's not needed?

Thanks in advance. Here's some pictures...

Can you give me a pic of your entire caliper? If I have the same one, I'll check mine in the morning to see if i can tell if and where that clip goes? It doesn't look familiar, but I haven't ever looked for that specific part.

Looks like a anti rattle clip. Im not familiar with that caliper tho. But should sit on top of the pads. it should only fit one way. Then the pin that goes threw the caliper and the pads will push on it also to keep the pads from rattling.

yeah I'm familiar with the fact that most calipers use clips like this, but I just couldn't find a way to make it fit in there...

I have a brand new hidden Brembo rear caliper and bracket mod kit I bought from ASB that I haven't yet had a chance to install. I just pulled it out of the box for a look and there is no clip like you show in the photo on mine.

great! I don't see any way to fit it in there, and I don't see why it would be necessary on this caliper, just checking...

You are welcome.

I agree, I looked like a rattle clip to me to, but I don't think it's for this caliper - I think it was left over from some other caliper and somehow made it into that group of extra brake hardware that you received with this caliper.

Thanks for all the info guys. Sounds like I'm good to go.

Just need the bleeders and banjos to come in and I think I'll be all set to wrap up my winter project.

dang lol. OK at least I know how it goes and the caliper is still off the bike! Thanks kona!

So I pretty much have this mod done, but wasn't happy with the way the stock brake line fit, so I ordered a custom line from spiegler. Should be here in a week or two.

One thing I noticed on the brembo caliper is that the banjo bolt/brake line fitting is extremely close to the bleeder screw. It's going to be hard to bleed it as it will be difficult to get a wrench on it. Anyone else have this issue?

Yeah I actually did get speed bleeders for both calipers(without knowing it) so that should help.
