Neither! Hold out and keep looking. I don't know why, but it seems as if the pre 2007 bikes have fewer problems than the newer ones. You can find lower miles for the same price or less. Other than the upgraded ECM on the newer models, not a whole lot changed. I loved my 2004 XB12 and I had ZERO problems with it for over 16k miles. I just picked up a 2006 XB12 with a Corbin seat, Special OPS pipe, and 5k miles for $4300. Just a suggestion. I would shoot for the lowest miles you can find since you don't really know how hard those miles were or how the bike was maintained. If you want a certain color offered in the newer models, you can always swap plastics and wheels with someone.
