Why does a used 999r cost so much$$$$$ i started looking by used i mean 05-06

AND cuz it's a bad ass bike!!! I love dry clutches, if that thing had a single sided swing arm it would be right near the top of my coolest bikes ever made list! What are prices at?? I don't remember the modle off hand but the last Duc price tag I turned around was 42 grand. Not to be a smart ass but why is a used Lambo so expensive?? You know what I mean.
