Hey, I recently purchased a 2-piece rain suit but I need to get a different size. The gear itself is actually a bit too thick for hot Texas riding also, so I'm looking at different models. Does anyone have any suggestions for gear that isn't too hot, but works? I'm trying to get it through motorcycle-superstore.com because I have credit there. Thanks.

+3 Frog Togs are great for rainy days. I wear them in the summer over my gear. They are not that big when put in the bag they come with so if it looks like its going to rain I throw them into my pack. Always get where I'm going dry and I've worn them in some pretty heavy down pours. Make sure you tuck in your jacket into the pants of the frog togs. Then put the jacket part of the frog togs on. I made the mistake of not paying attention to this once and my pack made the jacket frog tog part ride up and since my coat wasnt tucked into the pants my back was soaked.

I made the same mistake as Vance first time I wore them. Now I pull the waist bungee up around the back of my neck over the outside of my leather jacket so that the pants are pretty much chest waders. Then the Frog jacket over that. Been through some nasty storms and stayed nice and dry!

I just posted that and when I left school today I didnt take my own advice and came home to a soaked ass. fail. These are the only days I wish I didnt have a tail chop. Thats a good idea about pulling the bungee up and over. I'm doing that next time it rains which looks like it will be Wednesday.

[up]frog toggs

Easy to pack, inexpensive, breathable and they work
New ones are much more durable than what they once were so they should last a few yrs too

I've had the same set for 4-5yrs, really only use them for complete downpours anymore since most of my stuff is pretty water resistant now

another vote for Frog Toggs. I rode through some gnarly Texas storms a few summers ago, and they worked great!

How do these Frogg Toggs fit, and what series does everyone have? Like will a small fit me even though I am wearing my riding jacket and jeans under them? Last time I tried to compensate by getting size M (different brand) and everything was huge on me. Also do you have Road Toads or the Elite HWY series or the HWY Toadz series? Thanks again for all the help. I finally returned the others and am ready to buy.

im a fan of frog toggs also rode 4 hours in down pour and stayed dry and wasn't hot at all but then again im in n.y
