Apparently the previous occupant of my XB12R did not clean up when he moved out. The tail section of my Firebolt must have made a very comfy home for a certain mouse. This means I'm not the second owner but the third!

A nice nest:

Not enough bedding material? No problem! I'll just chew on various wires until my bed is nice and fluffy:

If you give a mouse a motorcycle, don't be too surprisedif he starts behaving strangelyonce he knows he's motorized. He may act a bit bizarrely. He may dress a little weird. He might buy a leather jacketand then grow a honkin' beard. When he straps a helmet on his headand boots upon his feet, then you'll see him pop a wheelieand go racing down the street.Pretty soon he'll find he's fond of doing motorcycle tricks. He'll be jumping over cars and trucksand buses just for kicks. He'll start working at the circuswhere he'll take away your breathas he rides with other rodentsin the flaming cage of death. When he accidentally crasheshe'll have no more fun and games;just the screech of twisting metalas his bike explodes in flames. And without his motorcyclehe'll be fired from his job. He'll become depressed and lonelyand a sad and smelly slob. And the only way to save himfrom this misery and painis to buy another motorbikeso he can start again. So remember this advice:Don't even trust him with your keys.If you need to give a mouse a gift,it's best to stick with cheese.--Kenn Nesbitt Copyright © 2009 Kenn NesbittAll Rights Reserved

And one room wasn't enough. He wanted to live in a multi-room estate, so he took over my trunk as well.

It's a 2008 and had low miles when I purchased it, so it sat for short periods of time. First thing I did was change the fluids and filters. But I'd guess the mouse was only there for a brief period, perhaps during the winter months. No droppings, and no chewing elsewhere.

I've strengthened the wire with solder, and the tail area is clean enough to eat on now.
