Want to rattle can paint my stunt f4i wheels cuz im cheap and dont want to powdercoat.

Anyone done this or reccomend brands of paint or special powdercoat like wheel paint?

Thanks guys!

I've rattle can clearcoated my wheels. They came out pretty well for $5-10! I started with scotch-briting the wheels, then wiped Them down with solvent and tac-cloths that I had (that may cost a little more) and slowly fogged the wheels so the clearcoat did not run and turn white. It looks fine. Remember that you are only trying to satisfy yourself so however much of a perfectionist you are will determine the amount of work and how they come out, but I like mine. Nobody can tell the difference [cool]

Here are some photos of the front wheel after some scotch brite and before the clear coat. I will get some after photos up soon.

Here's a photo of the wheels (both black) on the bike. I know it isn't the best photo, but the rear wheel is just the standard black wheel. This should give you an idea on how it looks...

Just a thought. I've rattle canned my fair share of **** but didn't learn until a couple of years ago that you can go to your local autobody paint supplier and have them fill an aerosol can for you with real paint or clear. I used it to protect the metal while working in stages over a long period. It's a little high but worth it. I think I paid 30 bucks for the last can I had em fill. 1 can might be enough to cover these wheels. It would be close though with all the little nooks and crannies.
