Hey guys, first time posting on here and yes, I've searched for my answer. I need to know the exact length of the rear axle bearing spacer tube so I can make one. I'm a fabber by trade. I had a wheel bearing blow out on me a few days ago, got some SKF 6006 2RS1/C3 bearings from work (brand new in box) threw them on the bike and less 30 miles I can hear a light clicking noise from the rear end. So, pulled it all apart and I noticed then that the spacer just kinda rolls around in the wheel. I know its suppose to be tight. One end of it is very slightly mushroomed. Any help guys? :(

Think I might have figured out why my bearings cooked so soon, just got back from my shop and did some investigation work, when I used the all thread and nuts to pull the bearings in, it put too much pressure on the inner race and tweaked the cage. So...good thing I have another set of bearings. I'm gunna make some bearing press cups to do it right next time. And on another note, I pulled those brand new SKF bearing seals out, the grease looks more like vasaline, so my next set I will pop apart and hand pack.

I would still like to know the length on that tube so if need be, i can turn one out on the lathe real quick.

Funny, I just measured an old one on the shelf to be 8.000" long. Kind of strange to see parts measure to some nice round number:)
