Looking to put my '08 1125R away for winter and need a recommendation on a rear stand...Pit Bull has a fancy one for ~$150 but thought that someone may have a less expensive solution for a stand that will work for storing a bike...Tnx

I went for pit bull on both front and rear stands... Check the quality of material and welding on other stands and you may see why I chose pit bull.

Valid point...will spend the money but that means the new EBR ECM will have to wait until December...thanks for the advice and quick reply...this site rocks...

I have a $70 cheap-o stand I bought 10 years ago with adjustable rubber coated steel pads that do the lifting. It worked on all 4 bikes that I had and even lifted my 500 plus pound Kawasaki ZRX1200R no sweat. After that bike I have to be careful lifting my XB12R so I don’t toss it into the rafters! Hahah! But seriously, my stand I bought at Cyclegear has worked great for me for 10 years.

+1 on Pit Bull, super balanced, and you don't have to do any silly mounting of lift knobs into our sexy swingarms, the quality is amazing, spend the extra money, go big or go home :D

Vortex makes great stands too. Same price and quality as the Pit Bull. I have a Pit Bull rear and a Vortex front stand. Love both. Some guys swear by T-Rex stands and they are a bit cheaper, like closer to $100. All except the Pit Bull for the '08 require spools.

Thanks everyone for the tips...Pit Bull stand arrived today...works great and rock steady...
