I've been hearing around other forums about a reflash that Harley is supposed to do under warranty. For what I can see it only affects the 1125R and the XB12. Does anyone know for sure if the XB9 is affected? As much as I'd love to razz Harley on this; I don't if my bike is not affected.

just go in and ask or call.. i got my o8xb12r reflashed for free.. it ended up the edu had a error code and i got a brand new ecu for free. the new update for the fan is amazing. it dosnt come on when you turn the bike off, it just runs more when you ride.

My 09 comes on when I shut the engine off depending on how hot it is. Sometimes it comes on when I ride. But at 80MPH I can't tell if it on or not.

Had mine done also (08xb12ss) was a bit worried the rear cylinder was running hot but when checked the temps everything was fine.. runs after you get to 150 C riding.... seems to shut off when you pull to a stop running must be tied to rpm and speed somehow never get a fan running when I shut her down, will come on though if its over 220 C shuts off at 170 C ...just the new fan paramaters in the flash BUE1D130

the what i call the 'comfort flash' is new fueling and temp management based on rpm and speed.

do older bikes need the re flash because my bike recently started running the fan allot even when its sixty out or so. never did that before. or should a tps reset cure that. its an 04 12s

i think its for 08 and later bikes. the ECM firmware is different on earlier ones so the flash wont take.


it also should not matter if your within wearranty or not. depends if the service manager is a dick.

you mean the service manager that never has answers for buell customers,and never returns calls?

yeah some H/D dealers suck. you could call a diffent dealer in a differnt location.

HD G'Boro sales may not have treated my co-worker well, but the service department there has always been great. And the Buell mechanic is Da Bomb. He has a tuber that he has spent a lot of $$ customizing and optimizing.
If I called and asked how much it would cost to dyno and retune my XB and I do the Hawk and K&N they would tell me over the phone. Now if only the sales guys were as responsive to customers.
