I am from Australia i have a XB12R 09 model. I am wanting to remap the stock ecm. But the information i find says up to 2007. can you still remap the 2009 model using the ecmspy cable purchased online. Also if anyone has any info about doing so or links please let me know. Thanks you fellow Buellers

The new ecmspy will work with all year bikes. However it does cost money to unlock the software. Tunerpro is freeware. As stated above you can use the same cable as ecmspy.

@dallasb - that's awesome I didn't know that! Makes things just slightly easier for the newer gen owners. Thanks for the info![up]

You can go to their website and download the new ecmspy. I can't recall what the price is to unlock the software and I've not used it past the demo stage. Whenever I evaluated the software it would do the 1125's DDFI3 injection system. Personally I would suggest tunerpro as its FREE and has more capability than ecmspy.

awesome info thanks guys..[up]
i am suppossed to get some to make a map for my bike. or is there somewhere i can download them.

You can push a race map onto your bike but it won't be optimal. You can also go to a shop and pay a couple hundred dollars for them to tune it. Or you can just use tunerpro and an ecmspy cable for a grand total of $45. It does take some time to do the tune yourself. However, since you data log when you ride, its not like its a chore.

Ecm Spy you need Ecm Read, then the drivers from Ftdichip.com A good ole cable from American Sport Bike. Tuner Pro/has a great system for a very reasonable fee. AND your in like Flint! I always Tune each Bike independantly due to each Engine has different wear/& mileage differences. Swapping Maps is ok but i love to Tune & datalog . Have fun but take time to check out the logging and such. You will find it Quite helpful. Ride Safe!:D
