Removing tint

soo what is the best way to remove tint? The guy I bought my headlight from put blue tint over the lightning's lenses and I'm not the bigest fan. Suggestions?

razor blade and goo gone. just dont scratch the lens

Spray ammonia on them, cover them with saran wrap and heat it with a hair dryer on high. Keep it hot and soaked for a few minutes, it should come off after that.

Blue tint on the headlights?!???!!?! On what planet could that cross someones mind and have it register on the "good idea" side?

windex has ammonia, if you cant find any straight up ammonia locally.

If you can't get that stuff off without damaging the lense let me know. I have messed up assembly with a good lense.

Just make sure you pull it off together, theres actually two layers to tint and if you don't pull them off together then you might as well just sit there for hours scraping it off. So if it starts to come apart add more ammonia and heat, be very liberal with the ammonia and keep adding it when it dries up. A small area like a headlight shouldn't be hard to remove, another option some people like is to use a steamer like for clothing of you or someone you know happens to own one. Tint is a pain in the @ss!!!!

went down to mess with the tint it actually seems to flake off pretty well with just my finger nail got about a quarter of one lens clean in about 2 min with just my nail so guess it was cheap tint and the head of the lamps dried it out
