if you have an '08, make sure you get the one with the update of the updated bracket...otherwise it will break.

remus is more sound than power gain.

Cheers lee ;), @ that price I think will go for a more of an all rounder, sound & performance :D ( I live in Australia & your looking @ AUD $1750.00 if you buy local!) nice pipe though and sweet sound!

how dose it compare to the stock pipe performance wise?

between bikes at the mo, 09 later this year :D doing research, exhaust shootout had some good info, not much european pipes on there though...

cheers mate

with quiet inserts it's more or less the same...

without the insert, you'll lose a bit a low-end and gain a bit of mid-range.

quality wise, it is a good pipe.
but in your case, that's alot of money for a slip-on.

I've got the Remus Revolution silencer on my xb12s and the sound is great. It has db killers fitted but they can be removed in 2 mins flat if you want a little more noise. Cost £500 her in the UK from Trojan Horse.

I've found that the bike runs lean with this fitted and the header pipes discolour alot. They are blue/bronze now.

Remus recommend the fitting of their 'Powerizer' so I've purchased one (£220) and fitted it. This alters the fuel/air maps to take into account of the silencer. When I get time & the money, I'll mod the airbox to with a K&N filter which the Powerizer will deal with to.

The bike seems to run a little better & cooler but I'll need more time to see if the £220 was worth it.

I still get the odd splutter & overrun popping so I'll need to see if I have any air leaks. I'll also do the breather pipe mod to as I've read here, this can cause the stutter & popping.

TPS reset will be done when my cable arrives from the US.
