Can anyone direct me to a dealer/etc. that would have the replacement headlight piece that was issued in the recall several years ago? Need to replace mine finally on my XB9R due to the metallic finish finally being fully removed.

Y0421.02A8B is the part # for the updated complete assembly.
i'd start calling surdyke...new castle...white's....lancaster H-D and see if one on the shelf.
every now and then a new one pops up on evilbay as well. i think they retailed for close to $200.

Thanks. Sent Walter Brothers an email. Don't need the entire assembly, just that metallic part.

Walter Brothers is telling me they need to sell me the whole headlight assembly ($98). Didn't they offer just the reflector as a separate part?

I see. I ment to say that you could get it free. That's how the part is. Its not separate. How I got mine from them was, I went to heartland Harley, told my parts guy what I needed and gave him my Vin. I was going to have to buy it since its a product recall and not a safety recall. Safety recalls don't expire. Product do. So my parts guy looked it up in their system. Walter bros had them. Walter bros sent heartland the part free of charge since they, Walter bros, didn't have to pay for it. They got it from hd. So my parts guy passed on the savings to me. Give them your Vin and tell them my story. Maybe you can still get it. It didn't cost them any thing.

OK. Got it. Thanks. I should have just taken care of it when the recall happened but my Buell dealer was a real pain in the ass to do anything with. :-/

Managed to find one for $50. Hoping this doesn't happen with this one as well. Amazing how much difference it made one I turned the light on. Will be nice not to have to drive with the high beam on all the time.

I can attest that I rode my bike this morning to work at about 530am on back country foggy roads and I couldn't see 15 ft ahead with high beam on and I removed the spoon from the low beam. I'm ordering new lights tonight lol. I'm getting aftermarket lights though.
