Anybody know if there is a write up on the forum on how to do this or how hard it is? Kinda wanna do it myself. Is it hard to change? Im going to just buy a new fairing stay to put on it. Seems like alot of wiring. Thanks

remove mirrors, remove turnsignals, remove bottom two bolts of windshield. Remove front fairing.

Remove bank angle sensor, remove turnsignal relay.

IMPORTANT remove fuse box, remove relay box(this allows access to headlight mount bolts). Remove top two bolts in headlight mount, loosen only, bottom two bolts in headlight mount. Headlight will slide out, ECM comes with headlight. remove horn. remove instrument cluster(3 nuts and unplug everything else can remain plugged in)

remove two bolts holding fairing stay to frame neck NOTE: one bolt is slightly longer than the other, this bolt has a P clip on it, put it back like that, take a picture if necessary.

Installation is reverse of removal.

Yeah it's pretty easy. If you can turn a wrench and pay attention to how things are routed you'll be good :)

On a side note, I've been contemplating making a mold and producing the fairing stay in composite. It should be as strong, as light, and repairable.
