OK so first off if anyone is looking for a good place to order gear from like helmets pants jackets suits gloves whatever motorcycle gear needs are revzilla is the place to order. So far I have bought probably close to $1000 in stuff from them and the experience is always superb. They are located in Philadelphia's naval yard minutes from the sport complex and they have a nice little shop..... granted the only thing they have on display is top of the line gear such as dainese Alpinestar rev it and arai and shoei helmets but on their site you can get almost anything. If you live in Pennsylvania they pay your sales tax and any orders over $39.99 is free shipping and for every $100 you spend they give you $5 store credit to use on tour next purchase so do like I do and order one piece at a time and out the credit towards the next purchase.
If your unsure about a product they do awesome review videos and also return or exchange for free. I have so far ordered my icon brawson jacket and pants from them parts for my icon airframe helmet and my icon gloves.
So anyway the other day I decided since its my first riding season on my buell and I'm actually riding a lot for pleasure and just not commuting it was time to get some good protective pants instead of my baggy ass brawnson pants (which are nice if your riding sub 60* temps) or just my jeans. I wanted a decent air flowing pant but not something like track leathers or a over pant of any kind. I opted for the Joe rocket Phoenix 3.0 mesh pants. Now they were nice pants but a bit small and when I got them I just felt unprotected. I wanted just a pant something I could throw on and just my skivys under it or maybe a under armor type of garment in cool weather. So I figured hey I drive to flyers games all the time only takes me a hour and half to get there I'll run down to the showroom and see what they have and try on pants. Well the customer service is great. They exhanged my pants no problem..... even gave me back the $15 credit I used towards them. After trying on numerous pants I came to one conclusion...... the more you spend the better product you get......
I opted for the new dainese drake air pants. Now they aren't a mesh pant at all they are a textile tight fitting sport pant in a European cut to be worn over or under boots. They are a bit on the heavy side so I'm sure they will be warm in the hot summer but the thighs open up into little scoops for air flow. They have full knee/shin pads and a button style waist and a the crotch and all pockets zipper. The waist is adjustable by a few inches with velcro and aluminum clasps. For $254 you get a lot of pant... they have a full 360* zipper to attach to a dainese jacket which i am now looking at getting aswell. I only paid $240 cause of my credit from previous purchases.
I also ordered speed and strength hard knock life boots but they didn't have them in stock I should get then Wednesday. I will post some pictures tomorrow and give a full review of the pants next sunday when I get back from our 400 mile northern pa road trip......
