I had the regulator fail on my 06 Ulysses. While looking for options I ran across the Hot Shot mosfet from Rick's Motorsports. I did some looking around but didn't find much about them so i'm putting this on to help others that might be interested in this product. I found the description on Rick,s web page unclear it states "Customers will have to relocate the mounting position for this piece It will not mount in the same spot as the OE piece". What the reality is you need to make an adapter plate between the original mounting studs and the new Hot Shot regulator. The Hot Shot regulator will fit in the same spot as the original regulator. I attached some pictures for the adapter plate I made, the Hot Shot regulator and the final installation. Put about 200 miles since the install the regulator runs way cooler than the original, voltage is 14.5 from idle to 2500 rpm and 14.6 over 2500 rpm. So far i'm happy with this product. If making a good adapter bracket is within your skill set It is a good option. If adapter brackets aren't your thing I would look elsewhere.
