Water logged?
xb12r first time caught in rain.temp 55,steady rain, not heavy rain, bike starts running on 1 cylinder,no trouble lights on dash though.i pull in clutch and rev it,thinking I need to keep it running, then after a min or two, both cyl are running again.did it about 5 times within 3miles.park the bike, next day no problems at all, runs great again.
today, streets were wet,(bike did get rained on 30mins)
bike started and ran great, then after 7miles,running on 1 cyl again.I pull in the clutch and rev it after 20secs both cyls running again, park it for about 2 hours starts and runs good then 1 cyl again for about a min.then both cyls run again.just wet street, and about 60 temp.Fresh plugs, oil and filter before hand.only acts up when wet.basically seems water is an issue somewhere,if anybody has any thoughts please share. Thanks

its a safety precaution, so you don't give it to much power under wet conditions and cause your rear tire to spin and loose traction! :) haha I'm kidding i have no idea....

had the same problem as you last summer, invest in a set of new plugs and wires and you will be good to go. [up]

I had the same thing happen to me last thursday!!! Scared the sh!t out of me:eek:... Time for new wires and plugs[up]

Be sure to use the dielectric grease on all of the plug wire boots as well, this will help in keeping moisture out of the boots and promote better conductivity between the plugs, coil post, and wires.

i had the same thing happen to me as well, mine wasnt the plug wire tho . ecm actually was fried and only running on one injector and spark plug. hopefully it isnt that. luckily i had a spare ecm

try the easy stuff first

As for mine, once I got out of the rain and bike got dry she ran great again. I will install wires and new plugs. Hopefully that will cure my problem..

Plugs or wires are my best guess. Make sure the post are connected.
Let us know if it still does it after these are replaced.

Hope you will check the easy things first. Also is bike stock as in Ecm Spy tuned? Do you have an Open air box or is the Air Box cover Stock. And 3- Is the Velocity Stack still the right height? Hope it's just a plug or wire.

I'm not sure about ztied's bike but mine only did it in the rain. Was out for a moring ride this morning and she ran awesome.... I have race ecm, pipe, airbox delete, breather reroute. She was running great this morning....good ride:D

USn2Boyz, with a loss plug wire, you still have a spark and that will convince you that its running good, but once in a while yes only one cylinder will stop firing OR your power/ gas mileage will be bad!

So went out to check the plug wires to see if the were on all the way and damn....the rear plug wire wasn't on all the way....front is fine ..... its raining now so can't take it out but I hope that was her problem

I noticed before a little surge or a miss or whatever you would call it when I was cruising thru town but I just didn't think of the wires. The guy I bought it from just a few weeks back said he had put plugs in her and fluid change. So I just ASSumed they were ok....lol
