I removed my side stand switch long ago, and jumpered the wires together. I have had electrical problems ever since, and just recently purchased a new side stand switch to make my troubleshooting a bit easier.

Can somebody post some photos of the side stand switch? I can't remember how it was mounted on there. Can't locate holes that look like they match up with the holes on the switch. And the manual doesn't show it very well. I'm almost wondering if I have the wrong switch.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

You don't say what year or model. Here are pictures of my side stand switch where it mounts on my '02 s3. And a picture of a new side stand switch.

Sorry. It's a '97 S1. The switch I ordered looks just like the one in your picture. However, I can't tell what the switch is actually bolted to in your photo. Is that the swing arm mount that it is attached to?

There is a metal bracket the attaches to the kickstand pivot point. It is the black bracket in the picture. You can see the two nylon lock nuts that hold the switch to the bracket.
