Another one followed me home. I promised my wife I wouldnt buy any more bikes. But this one came from a guy i have bought several bikes from. price was very good plus he delivered. I couldnt say no.

So im going to need some help on this. I see very little tuning info on these. how user friendly is the EFI tuning on these? Is it true that ECM spy will work? I saw several posts of problems but no clear solutions.

Any advise on ID on the exhaust as well. Will post pix

anyone have any ideas on this exhaust? Cant seem to find any identifing markings. main can is shorter than stock
the headers look polished?

That exhaust is a buell race exhaust. The header and muffler are selling right now for close to a grand. Hard to find and yours looks like in good shape.

Ecm spy works on your bike just the same as the pre '08 bikes.

You could buy the race can by itself but it was part of the race kit. It was a air filter and race ecm.

For sure Buell Race Exhaust! It probably has a Race ECM too. Nice buy, looks like someone took care of the bike. Good find!

Internet annoyance.. Hey, don't sell that bike without giving me first chance! I've been looking for a clean S3T in black/nuke blue for some time!.. I'm an avid Bueller out here on the coast and get in to the metro-valley often.. lets cross paths sometime so I can work on bribing you :D

WOW!!!!! COOL NEWS. thanks guys. I wasnt looking to buy any more bikes, but the price was right and I can rationalize that my other bike got clobbered by the drunk lady, so its a fraction of the money im getting for my wrecked bike.
I have a seat for it and a tank. (No fuel pump) and would need to look in the parts books for what is actually missing. Where is the ECM on this bike? I see a lot of wire plugs that dont have anything connected to them,
I havent decided what I will do with it yet. I might consider selling as I have too many bikes.. But i didnt buy it to flip it. I have a S1 lightning and will probably put the race exhaust on that. Inside the big air scoop it looks like a K&N type filter. Ill be gone for a few days for a mini vacation and therapy from my wreck. Be pondering this topic.
Mr Thumpin 1203 ill try and give you a call soon. regardless we oughta talk. Im up in the hills outside Portland near the Clackamas river. I do go down to the coast sometimes and have friends who live there.
I have 2 XB9R's ill be selling this winter or next spring. a 2003 and a 2007. Not sure about this one yet.

As I said, it has a lot of plugs disconnected, besides where is the ECM.,, where is the plug in for the ECM spy?
I have had no trouble locating them on the XB series bikes,, but not sure on this. My S1 tuber is pre EFI and has the stock carb on it so it just runs the Sportster style ignition module, so way different.

I believe the ECM should be in the right side rear of the bike. This header is a under the frame design on the right side and will not work on your S1.

Really? Ill be investigating that with a side by side after i get back from vacation. It looks like it SHOULD fit,

I know the frames on these are VERY similar except for the seat area is longer and wider to support that big whale tail. Im excited to poke around on this thing and check it out. I bought 3 bikes from this same guy, kinda a weird deal. all of them almost NO mileage on them, all damaged in some fashion or another, but really sweet bikes.

Ducati 998 with 3 miles on it and new Termi full stainless exhast. (wrecked on service tech test ride after fitting exhaust?) XB9SX city cross all stock with almost no miles, damaged instrument face plate, no seat, and lightly munched rear signals and cheese grater. and this one. missing lots of parts, probably some sort of accident damage. Clean numbers, no liens. I think they guy he got them from had some sort of insurance deal.

Muffler should fit the header will not . The position of the frame tube on that side changed when they went from Carbs to FI.
