Sunday the 22nd was a cloudy day and the 2nd day i had my bike back on the road after an electrical issue that caused me to be stranded about 10 miles from home and turned out to be a bad relay so once the rain broke on saturday i went on a ride with my father around central jersey for the red cross and was a wonderful route so on sunday i decided to go on an adventure and get lost in some back roads, 15 minutes and about 12 miles into my ride it was all normal and then all hell broke loose, going down a hilly, bumpy country road i was doing about 65 and slowly picking up speed, riding pretty spirited i guess but not anything excessive for a straight back road. About a two miles down the road I cam over the top of the first hill at about 65-70 and got a head shake, about 3 seconds later i got tossed off the right side and slid for about 100-150 feet, blew my shoes off and my face shield after rolling over about 3-4 times i got up realized my shoes were gone and was still processing in my mind what just happened i saw my bike about 600 feet down the road from where i stopped and tossed my gloves off and took my helmet off and saw that my hand was bleeding and my feet hurt. I got to my bike and couldnt pick it up because my hands hurt so i thought they were broken, and a passerby helped me get it up and waited there with me till my friend came and i got the bike started threw on my helmet and walked up the street and got my gloves and mirror road it about a mile back up the street to my friends house and had my father bring me to the er to get checked out. Somehow i managed to not brake anything but do have some road rash on my lower back/ass, right wrist, right knee, and a hand sized one on my right shoulder all of which i didnt know about till i got to the er and saw them. As of now damages are helmet, gloves, all my clothes i was waring, dent on right side of the tank (would be worse without the frame puck), bent header, rash on the tail section, chin guard and front faring, right side engine case, rear swing arm and axle, right side blinkers, both break levers, right side peg, and blew up the windsheild as well as for whatever odd reason the left mirror broke off but the right side (side the bike landed on) was still on and only had scuff marks. All tho the bike can be replaced, it could be totaled for all i care but I know I got lucky that i didnt do real damage or even get killed. As far as recovery goes, so far everything looks normal as far as how the wounds are healing and in about 10 days I will go back for another checkup and the only thing im worrying about is i may need skin grafting on my shoulder as I took off all the skin in that area. I will post pics soon

Sorry about your get off, heal up quick. As for skin graphs anwhere non essential, FUCK THAT. If its your face, or dick, or even your forearms, but shoulders? Nah, like I said, fuck that. just a kick ass scar and a good story for the grandkids.

i hope so too ive been pretty sore the last two days and its starting to get a little better but that could be the percocet talking but time to make a list of parts to save for and should have the new and improved Christine (she really is deserving of that name now that all shes been through and never stops going) and I should be all healed up in about a month-1/2--two months just in time for the summer and heres the pics of what i have now so far the only think i have done was swapped out the swing arm with one i bought about a month ago i like the look of it. me and christine after crash

just realized we have 2 similar vehicles
I have a green explorer and an 04 12 r

i hope we dont have the same luck. but thats cool is yours a sport too? I love my ex but its just a pain in the ass with gas lol

mines an xlt actually, I have a daughter so I wanted the back doors, I got it cheap and I rebuilt it almost all the way through.

my bad luck isn't with crashing though but I've been through my fair share

i guess we all have our moments but it only makes us stronger right and i do wish i had a 4 door it can be a pain to have to keep moving the seats for any passengers and you also get 4leaf packs in the rear instead of the sports with the mono leaf

Sorry to hear about the damages but as you mentioned bikes can be replaced not lives.

Living in MI I am glad to have a damper on my bike had mine go into tank slap 4 times pot hole, bump on a bridge, bump in a corner (doing about 15mph, just started to lift the tire while I was leaned over), and when my transmission locked up. I had the damper for the bridge and transmission times, the other two times were mild and I was able to stand up on the pot hole and out of the corner.

Tank slap is no joke and even the best riders will get it so IMO if you do any aggressive street riding you need to have one other wise it is a matter of time before it bits you in the ass. Also mounted one on my fiancé's bike just this past week [up]

a damper is definitely on my list and im looking at full exhaust kits and so far i like the force exhaust does anyone else have a preference?

your garage is much cleaner than mine lol, and now you can do any color changes you can think of while you have it down, I have everything blacked out on mine aside from from the swingarm, I'm putting a message on it with red lettering and keeping my red screen, possibility of a red seethrough airbox but I don't want to spend the money lol

Ok, that's it. I'm buying a damper. I've got my suspension setup to nearly perfect, but even then it doesn't seem to take much.

I am looking In to the Gpr damper and as far as colours I'm going to stay with the black plastics and have a red flake instead of blue that it has now and I'm gonna get a red windscreen and have my rims powder coated red or find someone who wants to trade their red rims for my silver ones? And once winter comes along I'm gonna do the frame and swing arm the same colour black w/red flake

And once I get the exhaust depending how I like it I may sell my race can but that won't happen for at least another month or two

Hey man sorry to hear about your crash. Shoot me a email I have a ton of xb parts. I am parting most of my stuff out soon, but you got dibs since you are local. Hit me up on the NJBO thread.
Hit up Puzzled about the GPR, he gives good deals to NJBO guys. I have one on my 1125, and will never go back, makes a huge difference, especially on crappy NJ roads!
