Hey people,

I just purchased saddle bags for my 09 xb12ss, I'll only receive them later this week. I was told that they don't interfere with the passenger.
He wasn't convincing so I searched the net and the forum for an answer.... the only thing I found was a warning from an eBay seller stating that it's dangerous to ride with both a passenger and saddle bags.

So before cancelling my purchase can anyone tell me if saddle bags interfere with a passenger??

Cheers,

Yes they do! They actually velcro around the passenger peg support for stability. If a passenger was able to get on the bags would be rubbing the backs of their legs pretty bad. The bags will come in handy for longer rides or short over night trips though.

don't know about the ones for the 'long' model but on the standard 'S' it says that using the bags prohibits a passenger

Well I didn't feel like taking a chance, I canceled my order..... a good back pack is in order!!!! actually a good back pack for my girlfriend.

lol when it comes riding with a passenger tank bag and back pack all that will fit.
the buell tank bag is $$$ but well worth it.
btw
the only differnce between the plain and deluxe is the 2 out side pockets wich pretty much only fit a pair gloves and the rain cover
