Safe to use ECMSPY for TPS reset on Race ECM (Part #82007-05Y) ?

I just bought this from @Dynasty for my 05 XB9SX. I have Jardine and K&N.

Have read a bunch of threads about using/not using ECMSPY on race ECMs. Trying to get some clarification.

1) Is it safe to use on the Buell race ECM (82007-05Y) for only a TPS reset?

2)Is there a difference between 82007-05Y race ECM and an EBR race ECM?

it is kinda confusing, EBR's ecm I personally would not.
