ello all :p my blast is pretty new (to me) and i have a hard time just leaving things alone.

2000 Blast with 7500 miles, runs PERFECT.

there are some scratches on the gas tank cover and on the rear fender... whats the best way to fill these? sand out and buff or a plastics filler? the scratches are where the cover meets the bottom "fairing" at the widest part of the tank. also the clutch cover is a bit faded, anyone ever used "Back 2 Black" or a product like it? or would it be cheaper to just buy replacements?

thanks for all the info!

Wet sand. Start with 600 grit, then move to 1200, then 2000. Finish with 3M rubbing compound. You may be able to skip the 600 depending on how deep the scratches are

I had some major scratches on the windscreen and started with too coarse of sandpaper and made a lot of work for my self. I have determined since then that 440 wet and dry is as coarse as you can get away with and make sure you keep it wet. I then stepped up through the numbers 600, 1200, 1600 & 2000. Finishing with 2000 wet and dry and then polishing with a $20.00 WalMart TurtleWax polisher using very fine TurtleWax polishing compund really works well. Finish with a coat of wax and looks good as new.
