I just reached 700+ miles on my new XBS12CG and the guy at harley tried to freak me out by telling me that I sould have had the bike serviced at like 150 miles!!! I know that they make these bikes preaty much bullet proof, however the book says 1000 miles. I just was hoping to get a little feed back on when everyone else service their bikes for the first time.

1k. That's the recommendation in the manuals.

Fluids change, TPS reset and a couple other minor checks. Not too exciting.

I had mine serviced @ 1700 miles, oops...just couldn't stop riding I had an issue with minor "popping" thru the airbox, problem solved, been perfect since, $241.00 for complete service including adjusting the timing and reseting the ecm[up]

Thanks everyone for the replys. You have helped me calm down a bit and now I can enjoy the ride agian with out thinking Im hurting my bike. Going to get it serviced tommorow at the dealership. $225.00[up]
